EVERY KIND OF UH-OH IS HERE
Or, a day in the life of a recording artist telling stories, selling & giving away stuff
Today is release day for EVERY KIND OF UH-OH. So there will be no philosophizing going down. Just pure info and music to go.
The button right below will take you to all the popular streaming sites, to Amazon and iTunes to purchase MP3s, and to Dolby/Atmos mixes. Full credits to come in another post.
A quick word about the vinyl, CDs, t-shirts and signed bundles. Universal Music did me a solid and has allowed UTRMedia a limited right to create a small batch of product for those of you who want to hold this music in your hand.
HOWEVER, UTR’s shop is not able to ship outside the United States. Not a problem. We are still willing to ship it to you, just not through the store.
If this applies to you, visit the store below, decide what you’d like, and send a request to charliepeacockmusic@icloud.com —someone will contact you with instructions.
Now, just ‘cause the album is out we are not done asking for favors! Need you keep up all the liking, sharing, commenting, starring, following and whatever else technocracy invents. At least until this record gets its shot and the book comes out. Then we can all “return to the land.” None of these tech companies will take this music seriously unless people are expressing interest in it. I shall say no more.

Review from Music Row Magazine today:
CHARLIE PEACOCK / “Turtle In A Chinese Food Box”
Writer: Charlie Peacock; Producers: Charlie Peacock, Sam Ashworth; Label: Universal/Re-Think
– Charlie Peacock is and always has been a pop singer. But the lead track of his new LP sounds like skipping through a field of wildflowers, with Charlie McCoy’s harmonica, Dan Dugmore’s steel guitar and the rest of the light-hearted track giving it an undeniable country-music vibe. The lyric celebrates his innocent, youthful feelings at age 15, when he had the first date with his wife Andi. The rest of the album, titled Every Kind of Uh-Oh, showcases the brilliant producer/songwriter/keyboardist’s chops as a pop-jazz wizard. Peacock has produced more than 50 CCM albums and was behind the board for the Grammy-winning country-Americana records of The Civil Wars. BMI hosted a deluxe record-release party for the artist on Wednesday at RCA Studio A. His memoir, Roots & Rhythm: A Life in Music, will be published in February.

Kind people saying kind things:
"Charlie Peacock, a music artist of high order and deep experience, takes an unblinking, truthful, and, most of all, kind look at a long life in music.”
— T Bone Burnett, Oscar & Grammy Award-winning music producer, recording artist, and composer
"Roots and Rhythm is the play of youth with the wisdom of age merging into a beautiful, fireworks show. We all desperately need the sorts of honest, sage stories Charlie tells about the artful life—to see, in ourselves, the merging of the girl in the woman, the boy in the man, simultaneously growing more playful, imaginative, and wise.”
— Sara Groves, Recording artist and co-founder of Art House North, St. Paul, Minnesota
"Working with Charlie Peacock in the studio and on stage changed the artistic trajectory of my life. He never chose the obvious chord, riff or melody. Instead, he coaxed novel creativity from everyone. His methods made me a better writer, singer and musician—perhaps even a better person, because it got closer to the soul of me than I was willing to explore on my own. I'm excited that he's finally telling his story and know it will inspire others similarly."
— Michael Roe, singer-songwriter, co-founder of rock band, The 77s
Such a great album.
When I was a young youth pastor dude in the 1980's I wore a big man's hat with my teen-aged protégés. I almost threw it all away in the 90's but after almost 4 decades of ministry, my life, love and almost every kind of uh-oh here I am still, of fan of a dude that has written part of the sound track of my life. Thanks Charlie, someday we'll meet and I can tell you in person the impact your music has had on my life. This new one is really something!
