We live over on Temple road in Bellevue, the creek flooded our yard this morning and took out our fence. A very new and frightening experience for us leaving the house today with no clue what it would look like when we returned. My husband pulled into chick-fil-a and led our 4 children in prayer asking for God to recede and part the waters for us. Thankful for answered prayers today, and continuing to believe and pray through the night. But through it all, famine or flood, He is sovereign over all.
Last night, my 6 yr old granddaughter, (her Momma and Daddy are on a business trip) and our 3 dogs, and me, headed for the bathroom to all pile into the bathtub. She seemed to be a little nervous until I told her the story of Jesus sleeping in the boat through a crazy storm at sea. It was amazing to me to see the fear leave her sweet little face after she asked me to pray Jesus's prayer..."Peace be Still". We then had fun in our boat with Jesus sitting in the boat with us riding out the storm. Prayers for you and your family, Charlie. <3
After a stormy night (in my Indiana as elsewhere) in the early months of what has become a stormy year (in so many ways), this is a welcome reminder: Be not afraid. Thank you, Charlie.

Wow. Stay safe, brother.
G'day Charlie, hope you can keep your toes dry. In our part of Australia we are in the middle of a record drought. Virtually no rain so far this year.
Cheers
Stuart

Brilliant. Thanks for the wisdom, Charlie.
How I remember the days of flooding at MTSU …and the spirit of renewal when the waters receded.
